September 2006 Update

The university sought third party comments as required. Ads were posted in Winona , Rochester and Twin Cities newspapers; emails were sent to current students and alumni; the university website included the request for comments; and the request was also posted internally in Campus Notes and in the Twin Cities Bulletin. Several presentations on the content of the Institutional Self-Study 2006 document were made to internal constituencies to provide clarification on the findings and to provide additional information regarding the upcoming review process. Included in these presentations were the Board of Trustees and the College Student Senate. Question and answer sessions were scheduled for early October on both the Twin Cities and Winona campuses to be facilitated by members of the Steering Committee. Initial plans for the October visit are being made between the Team Chair and the Self-Study Coordinator and will be made available about a week before the visit.
