Remove SuperSearch from Your Browser

Forever done searching Twin Cities Library directly from your browser? Learn how to remove the SuperSearch browser tool from your internet browser below.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. In the upper-right corner of your browser, select the menu icon Firefox Menu Icon and select help Firefox Help Icon .
  2. From the Help menu select Troubleshooting Information.
  3. Select the Reset Firefox... button in the upper-right corner of the Troubleshooting Information page.
    • Don't worry - you won't lose bookmarks, passwords, or usernames, but you will lose browser customizations and extensions.
  4. To continue, select Reset Firefox in the confirmation window that opens.
  5. Firefox will close and be reset. When it's done, a window will list the information that was imported. Select Finish and Firefox will open.

Google Chrome

  1. In the upper-right corner of your browser, select the menu icon Google Chrome Settings Icon and select Settings.
  2. On the Settings page under the heading Search, select the Manage search engines... button.
  3. Near the bottom of the pop-up box, find the section Other search engines.
  4. Mouseover the search engine named SuperSearch.
  5. Select Delete SuperSearch in Chrome Icon to delete the SuperSearch browser tool.
  6. Close the window/tab.

Internet Explorer

  1. In the upper-right corner of your browser, select the tools icon Internet Explorer Tools Menu Icon and select Manage add-ons.
  2. In the left-hand menu, select the link Search Providers.
  3. Select SuperSearch from the menu of search engines.
  4. Select Remove.
  5. Select Close.
