Below are our most frequently asked questions related to Twin Cities Library's services for alumni.
1. Can I access online library resources from off-campus?
Unfortunately, we are not able to provide off-campus access to online library resources for alumni. However, you can visit Twin Cities Library where you are welcome to use our computers and access online library resources. You can also view options for accessing online resources through other libraries and organizations.
2. Why is my username and password no longer working?
Approximately 60 days after graduation, your Saint Mary's University username and password expire. This expiration prevents you from accessing Twin Cities Library's online resources from off-campus.
3. May I borrow items from Twin Cities Library?
Unfortunately, only current students, staff and faculty are able to borrow items. However, you are welcome to use any of our library resources within Twin Cities Library. Resources include books, DVDs, journals, dissertations, study guides, and assessment tests. You can also view options for accessing print resources through other libraries.
4. Can I use computers at Twin Cities Library?
Yes! We would enjoy having you visit. Simply ask at the main library desk, and a librarian will log in to a computer for you. Current students have priority during busy times.
5. Where can I get help with my research?
If you live in Minnesota you can get help from AskMN, an online service provided by Minnesota libraries. You will need a Minnesota public library card to use this service. If you live outside of Minnesota, you should check with your local library.
6. How do I request items from other libraries?
You can request items from other Minnesota libraries using your Minnesota public library card and the MnLINK Gateway. If you live outside of Minnesota, you should check with your local library.
