Borrow and Renew
All SMU students, faculty, and staff may borrow books, movies, music, and other materials from the Fitzgerald Library.
Use the QuickFitz Catalog to search for materials. Undergraduate students may keep books for 28 days and DVDs for 7 days. See Circulation Policies for more information about due dates.
It's easy to renew your materials online:
Log on to your
account using your Saint Mary's user name and password. click on "
Renew selected items" or simply "Renew all items" if desired. The system will
either renew the loan and display the new due date or will display a message explaining why
the loan could not be renewed. If the due date does not change, the item has not been renewed.
In "your account" you can see what you have checked out with due dates, check the status
of your interlibrary loans and renew them if necessary, and submit requests for new interlibrary loans (books or articles).
