Role of the Library Liaison

  • Serve as point of contact for questions/concerns about the library (status of budget, new journal request, hosting an author, etc.)
  • Assist with and encourage participation in collection development for assigned departments
  • Keep departments informed about library programs, services, and resources
  • Keep abreast of departments’ needs for library programs, services, and resources
  • Evaluate current collections and remove extraneous material as needed
  • Enhance the link between faculty departments and the library
