Development and Alumni Relations

Goals

1.  In collaboration with faculty and staff colleagues, work to create a culture that fosters loyalty and affinity for Saint Mary’s University among both current students and alumni. (Alumni Relations) 

Objectives

1.1 Provide a variety of programs, events, and services that are attractive and meaningful to alumni. (Institutional Visibility, Organizational Symbiosis) Operational Initiatives/Timeline

1.2 Create in current students an awareness of and an appreciation for the life-long connections of alumni to the university. (Institutional Visibility, Unique Identity, Organizational Symbiosis)  Operational Initiatives/Timeline

1.3 Establish and refine methods of communicating and interacting with alumni. (Institutional Visibility)  Operational Initiatives/Timeline

1.4 Provide and extend opportunities to participate with fellow alumni, students, faculty, and others in collaborative acts of volunteerism. (Institutional Visibility, Organizational Symbiosis, Unique Identity)  Operational Initiatives/Timeline

1.5 Continue and expand symbiotic initiatives with offices, departments and individuals across all university campuses. (Organizational Symbiosis, Institutional Visibility)  Operational Initiatives/Timeline

2. In close collaboration with the Board of Trustees, the President, the Alumni Association, and other stakeholders, secure ever-increasing levels of gift and grant income to support the mission, vision, and new opportunities of the university as identified throughout the strategic plan. (Development)
