Hints for Searching
1.
The easiest way to search for requested information for a criterion
committee is to use the “Requested by Criterion Committee” pull
down list. Clicking on the pull down list will reveal all five
criterion committees; highlight the desired committee and click
“Start Search.” The results page will appear listing all Self-Study
database documents that have been requested by the selected committee.
2.
The search is capable of showing all records housed in the database.
Clicking on the “Find All Records” will reveal all documents stored
in the database and/or cataloged in the physical resource rooms.
The results page will appear listing all Self-Study database documents.
3.
Searches may be conducted using keyword(s) that may appear in
the “Title” or the “Description” of a document. To search by keyword(s),
enter keyword(s) into the title or description lines and click
“Start Search.” The results page will appear listing all Self-Study
database documents that have titles containing the keyword(s).
4.
Searching by the “Category” is another option, but it is suggested
that this be used as a last resort to find a document, as some
documents may cross multiple categories and be more difficult
to locate using the search by category. Clicking on the
“Category” pull down list will reveal all 13 categories; highlight
the desired category and click “Start Search.” The results page
will appear listing all Self-Study database documents that have
been listed under the selected category.
5.
Each search option can be used in conjunction with “and/or” to
narrow or broaden the search.
