November/December 2004 Update

Following review and approval by the Steering Committee, invitations were extended to over 75 individuals to serve as members of the criterion committees, the Resource Team, and the 1996 Concerns Committee. In considering committee membership, the Steering Committee discussed issues of campus and area representation, years of experience and institutional knowledge, the ability of individuals to take a broad university view, and issues of time/job duties. Members confirmed their intentions in November and committees began meeting in late November. The Self-Study web page was introduced to the community in mid-December. The Coordinator, with approval from the Steering Committee, submitted the institution’s self-study design to the institution’s HLC liaison, Diane Nyhammer, for review, and possible dates for the comprehensive visit in 2006-07 were submitted to HLC as requested. AND NOW, THE REAL WORK BEGINS!
