October 2004 Update

Members of the Steering Committee and Co-Chairs participated in a day-long planning retreat. There was considerable positive energy and anticipation within the group. The group thoroughly reviewed the HLC Criteria for Accreditation, formalized the process for institutional self-study, created a tentative timeline, and clarified responsibilities. Discussions about what type of data would be needed for evaluation by the committees began and the group participated in a number of activities to start that process. We even had a little bit of fun as we got to know each other a little better and committed ourselves to the process!
