We not only expect students to know what good research is, but
how to do it.
Research Coursework
Our majors as a sophomore or junior gain research experience by
designing and conducting an undergraduate experiment. Several
of our majors, while working closely with faculty, may choose
to continue the research process in meeting the department’s
required senior capstone experience.
A New Approach: Research Lab Groups
In the fall of 2007, we are developing a new approach to allow
students to collaborate with faculty in research groups. Dr.
Dan Bucknam and Dr. Beth Seebach
will be piloting this program.
