Vlazny Hall (formerly Aquinas Hall) was built in 1953 and was the first building constructed on the south side of campus. It’s original name honored Saint Thomas Aquinas. In May of 1998, the hall was renamed to honor Archbishop John G. Vlazny, who served as Bishop of the Diocese of Winona for 10 years. This single-story residence hall houses approximately 50 freshman male students in double rooms. Rooms are carpeted and are approximately11x16. Vlazny hall has a large lounge, kitchen and laundry facilities. As this residence hall is designated for first-year students, it is a substance-free hall.
