DIRECTIONS

The fairgrounds is located at 1265 Snelling Ave. North in St. Paul.
To get to the fairgrounds:

Coming from the north:
Take 35W south to Highway 36 east via Cleveland Avenue Exit on Snelling Avenue South.

Coming from the south:
Take 35W north to I-94 east. Exit on Snelling Ave., then turn left and head north. Or take 35E north to I-94 west. Exit on Snelling Avenue, then turn right and head north.

Coming from the east:
Take I-94 west to Snelling Avenue, then turn right and head north.

Coming from the west:
Take I-94 east to Snelling Avenue, then turn left and head north.

The most convenient parking at the State Fair is free parking. The many free parking lots are located in various locations around the fair grounds. All of these parking lots provide free transportation to and from the fair grounds at regular intervals.

ADMISSION TICKETS

Prior to the Fair start date in August, you will receive your admission ticket for the fair. Each person volunteering will get an admission ticket. Julia Jenson (jjenson@smumn.edu) will have tickets for the Twin Cities campus volunteers. Bob Conover (bconover@smumn.edu) will have tickets for the Winona campus volunteers.

Saint Mary's University’s booth is located in the Education Booth which is on Cosgrove Street across from the Home Improvement Center.

STATE FAIR ATTIRE

Please dress appropriately for the weather on the day you are scheduled to work at the booth. In addition, please be aware that the temperature inside the Education Booth tends to be higher than the outside temperature.

In order to promote a consistent image of the University, please wear a polo style shirt with the University logo on it. If you do not have an appropriate shirt, please specify your style and size on the volunteer sign up form.
