AMA for Nurse Anesthesia Students
This link takes you to Introduction
to the AMA and Other Writing Tips, a booklet developed by the Writing
Center to assist nurse anesthesia students who use the American Medical
Association Manual of Style. The booklet provides tips on
locating information in the AMA manual, and it provides supplemental
information about AMA style and using the word processor with AMA style,
along with other writing tips.
In reference list entries, the AMA requires abbreviations rather than full titles of medical journals. Abbreviations of current titles are available from either the National Library of Medicine or the PubMed Journal Database.
