One of the best sites in the field of comparative literature is ECLAT: The Essential Comparative Literature and Theory Site based at the University of Pennsylvania. Numerous links are provided to electronic journals and libraries on the WWW, sites in literary or cultural theory, links to comparative literature programs, and many other areas of interest. The Center for Electronic Projects in American Culture Studies (CEPACS) at Georgetown University's American Studies Program has created the Electronic Archives for the Teaching of American Literature which contain essays, syllabi, bibliographies, and other resources for teaching the multiple literatures of the United States. The Archives are designed as a complementary resource to the electronic discussion list, T-AMLIT The premier professional association in the field of English literature and language is the Modern Language Association of America, which provides information on upcoming conferences, membership links, and a fine site devoted to MLA style for writing.
