In Memoriam:

David Lee Archer-Shee (1953-2007)

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of David Lee Archer-Shee, senior representative of the Archer-Shee family. While riding his bicycle on US 50 South of Easton, Maryland on 1 May 2007, he was struck and critically injured by a passing vehicle. He was then flown by helicopter to University of Maryland’s Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore where he later died on 11 May 2007.

Born Nov. 4, 1953, in Easton, he was the son of the late Richard M. and Audrey W. Zeigler Archer-Shee. He was a 1973 graduate of Easton High School.

He is succeeded as the senior claimant to the O'Shea Chiefship by his younger brother, Malcolm Richard Archer-Shee, and is also survived by his sister-in-law Barbara Archer-Shee, nephew Daniel Archer-Shee and grand-nephews Nigel Archer-Shee and Ian Archer-Shee, along with cousins in Nova Scotia and London, England. The Chiefship of the Name became vested in the Archer-Shee branch of the family upon the death of Maj. Patrick Iver Rivallon Poer O'Shee of Gardenmorris, Co. Waterford, Ireland in 1985.
