Plan of Leacanabuaile Stone Fort

Plan of the stone fort of Leacanabuaile, on the Iveragh Peninsula, an important fortress of the southern Corcu Duibhne in the early Christian period. The earliest parts of the structure (the outer wall and round "House A") appear to date from the 6th century, or perhaps slightly earlier. The square houses are later additions.
