Is Adware slowing down your PC?

Almost EVERY unprotected computer has some form of spyware or ad-tracker software running in the background, strangling your system resources, generating pop-up windows, and slowing down the performance of your PC.

Your virus software DOES NOT look for adware, as it is not considered a virus, so you must use other means to remove it from your system.  There are several programs available to combat these issues, but the two we use most frequently are Ad Aware SE and Spybot.

You can click on the above links to install this free software on your machine.  We recommend using Ad Aware first.  Follow it's installation instructions and allow it to search your system for any offending software.  After rebooting, you may notice an improvement in system performance, and fewer pop-up ads.  At this point, you may want to install Spybot, as it may find some things that Ad Aware missed.  The one caveat of Spybot is that it seemed to add 10-15 seconds additional boot time.  This, however, could be remedied by installing Spybot, running it, and then deleting the program once it has searched your system.
