The Brother J. R. Long
Scholarship Fund
The
Brother J. R. Long Scholarship was designed so that the mentally disabled
of the Winona, Minnesota area may have the finances to attend summer
camps which will help them attain their basic needs and social skills.
This scholarship was designed by Council 5202 in 2006 and approved by
the Council Board of Trustees on January 11, 2007. The immediate
Past Grand Knight (or a Grand Knight-appointed Trustee) is the custodian
of funds for this scholarship. The Scholarship Fund distributes
the scholarship funds in late-April/early-May of each year through
Community and Home Options of Winona, MN to mentally disabled students.
