Activities:
Fireside
is a coffee-house style show that Kappa Sigma has put on since the winter of
2005. Pie and coffee is served during intermission, creating a warm atmosphere.
It originally started off as a sisters-only talent show, but as of 2008,
Fireside has expanded into an all-campus show.
Savin' Grace
was a terrific volunteer
activity for Kappa Sigma during the autumn seasons of 2006 and 2007. We have
helped sell tickets, take jackets, and provide musical entertainment during
intermission. We hope to continue helping with this activity in the future.
Acoustic Cafe Christmas
Show was started by Kappa
Sigma in December of 2006. Our sisters put on a free acoustic show by singing
and playing Christmas songs for the guests at the diner in downtown Winona. It
was such a success that we hope to continue it for years to come.
American Red Cross Blood
Drive is something that
Kappa Sigma was invited to help with in the fall of 2007. Our help was much
appreciated, and we enjoyed being able to help the community in such a profound
way.
Beyond the Wall Poster
Sale is an annual sale in
September which Kappa Sigma assists. Beyond the Wall is a company that sells
posters to college students around the country. Kappa Sigma assists by helping
with set-up, take-down, and promotion.
