What We Are . . . 1. The Student Senate is the representative voice of the student body that is responsible for having the voice and concerns of the Winona student community heard and considered at an administrative level. 2. The Senate oversees and distributes the monies generated from the student activity fee and the laundry machines to student groups, capital improvements, and hall funds. 3. We are comprised of an Executive Board, class officers from each class, and representatives from each residence hall. Executive Board and Class Officer elections are held each spring, with a term beginning in the following school year. Hall Representatives are elected during first semester and also hold a year long term. 4. A House of Representatives is also key to the Senate. It is comprised of one member of each student organization with meetings held twice a semester. |
